About Me
About me
Hi! I’m Zoe, a 4th year medical student at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. I have successfully matched in Family Medicine at *** and aim to have a career providing full-spectrum primary care to underserved populations.
I attended the University of San Francisco, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. Coming from a disadvantaged background, I had neither the advice nor the financial means to start a career in medicine. Working full-time in undergrad and as a first-generation in medicine student, I didn’t know where to start when it came time to apply to medical school. I had a poor GPA for these reasons, and thus commenced a post-bac program at San Francisco State University.
Four years after graduation, I was accepted into a plethora of medical schools with a 3.4 cGPA, 3.2 sGPA, and a mid-500s MCAT. To say that my journey was an uphill battle was an understatement. I became an expert at the medical school admissions process, and I intimately understand just how confusing and difficult it can be to pursue your dream. I’m here to give expert advice and guidance in this process and am excited to support students on their journey in medicine.
